reactietermijn vacature verstreken - Account Manager Wind Energy R&D Energieonderzoek Centrum Nederland (ECN)
ECN is the largest research centre in the Netherlands in the field of energy and holds a leading international position in the field of wind energy research. A convenient truth: the wind energy sector has been growing exponentially over the last decades and will continue this growth in the next decades as it is the only emission free bulk renewable electricity option that can be implemented in the short term at relatively low cost.
The Unit ECN Wind Energy develops knowledge and technology for the offshore wind energy market. The research program consists of activities in the fields of wind turbine design and control, rotor and wind farm aerodynamics, and wind farm operations. The unit has 45 employees and has an intermediary position between universities, the wind turbine industry, project developers, and government agencies. ECN has its own test location EWTW (ECN Wind Turbine Test Site Wieringermeer) with various turbines for experimental research and a scaled wind farm for experiments on wake aerodynamics. ECN co-operates closely with international universities and other research institutes and is getting more and more involved in high level industrial support for wind turbine manufacturers, blade manufacturers, and wind farm developers and operators.
The EWIS group (ECN Wind energy Industrial Support). To better streamline the technology transfer to the industry, ECN Wind Energy founded a new group in 2009, called EWIS, that is solely dedicated to bringing research results to the market. We offer our industrial partners high-quality services, software in which state-of-the-art knowledge is incorporated, tailor-made courses and innovative tools. For optimisation and efficient operation of wind turbines and wind farms EWIS provides services and software for: - determining the optimal aerodynamic layout of offshore wind farms; - aerodynamic blade design; - structural analyses of wind turbines and load set calculations; - development of wind turbine controllers; - assessing the operation and maintenance aspects of offshore wind farms; - the design of the electrical grid; and - tailor-made courses. Our products are constantly improved based on the customer feedback and our range of products is expanding.
