What will you be doing?
As a member of our sales team as a Sales Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships and the increase of orders. You will be in constant contact with new relationships and following up on leads, maintain close contact with existing clients and our international partners. You will assist in promotional activities and make acquisition or sales reports and keep track of appointments. Furthermore you will be responsible for the aftersales and you’re able to combine operational sales management with a strategic vision on customer development and market trends. As a Sales Engineer at DMT you translate customer requirements into a technical concept and request the necessary information related to a project application. You are also a great team player. In order to ensure technical and commercial handling you have to work with your process & project colleagues. You’re responsible for the transfer of the order to the operations team. You maintain close contact with your colleagues to exchange important commercial and technical information.
- you are responsible for the follow-up, registering and evaluating applications;
- you will undertake the necessary tender engineering, draft proposals and cost estimates;
- and take care of administrative tasks such as; follow up quotes, order entry with preliminary estimates, keeping records and statistics and archiving files.
We are looking for a Sales engineer who wants to build a green and prosperous future with us and prefers to use his/her technical knowledge in a sales oriented environment. You’re familiar with the MS Office package and have a good knowledge of written and spoken Dutch and English. Preferably you speak German and or French.
- vocational educated (HBO) in Process / Chemical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering;
- familiar with environmental technology;
- experienced, around 2-3 years, in a similar function and similar business;
- experienced with sales of projects or at least are you acquainted with it;
- familiar with MS Office package;
- a good listener, tenacious, solution oriented and do you take initiative;
